Perfect Location
The hotel is located along Karon Beach, which is just a few minutes drive over the hill from the world-famous Patong Beach. Patong is the nightlife, dining and shopping hub of Phuket, while Karon Beach offers peace and quiet with fewer crowds and less noise.
Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is right beside one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket, which you’ll frequently have almost entirely to yourself.
Arriving at the resort, the first thing that catches visitors’ eyes is the expansive pool and water slide area. The resort is home to three large swimming pools with different features that offer something for everyone.
Three Tropical Swimming Pools
Kids will naturally make a beeline for the Blue Heaven Pool with its four thrilling water slides and a small shallow children's area. The Blue Heaven Pool area also offers plenty of sunbeds for parents to relax with a cold drink while they watch their kids have the time of their lives.
The Chaba Pool offers upbeat music and exotic cocktails and drinks from the central swim-up bar. Kids will love swimming through the waterfall, and it's within close walking distance of the Kid's Room and Animal Village Petting Zoo.
The Paradise Pool provides a tranquil poolside place for reading or napping. With many sunbeds scattered around the poolside, couples will find the perfect place to bask in the sun and enjoy each other’s company in privacy.
Petting Zoo, Botanical Gardens, and Kid’s Room
Two of the unique highlights of a stay at Thavorn Palm Beach Resort are the Animal Village Petting Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. They’ll delight both children and adults. Guests can pet, play or feed the tortoises, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits and lovebirds.
The botanical gardens feature over 12 acres of orchids, plumeria, bougainvillea, cacti, and hundreds of flowering plants. It even has pineapple plants. It’s a peaceful and romantic place that makes the perfect backdrop for your vacation photos.
Kids will fall in love with the Kid’s Room at Thavorn Palm Beach Resort. It's right next to the petting zoo and three of the resort's restaurants. It offers an air-conditioned space for kids to indulge in games and activities, and when they get hungry, pizza, sandwiches and desserts are just around the corner.
Seven Dining and Drinking Experiences
Ciao Pizza and Bistro offers tasty Neapolitan-style pizza and Italian cuisine that satisfies both adults and kids staying at Thavorn Palm Beach Resort. Sweet Talk serves up delicious ice cream and freshly-baked desserts, and it’s a must-visit after your meal at Ciao Pizza and Bistro.
Coffee Talk is one of the original coffee shops in Phuket. It has a history of offering an excellent cup of high-quality coffee as well as freshly-squeezed juices. It’s the perfect place to relax with a drink and catch up on reading, emails, or simply watch the world go by.
The Windsong Restaurant serves Thai and international food and is centrally located in the resort. Families often make the restaurant their meeting point to share a meal together before the kids jet off to ride their favorite water slide again.
The Windsong Bakery is right off the grand lobby. It's the place to pick up baked goods and fresh pastries or enjoy a cup of coffee throughout the day.
In addition to these outlets, Thavorn also has the Chaba Swim-up Bar as well as the Blue Heaven Pool Bar, where you can enjoy refreshing drinks while you keep an eye on your kids playing on the water slides.
Ideal Accommodation Options
The resort has several room types that offer upscale amenities at affordable prices.
The signature Deluxe Terrace rooms are ideal for vacationing couples and singles. The standard Deluxe Terrace Room is between 30-45 sqm, and features a blend of colonial and contemporary Thai decor. It also offers a spacious balcony and all the modern conveniences, including a refrigerator, minibar, flat-screen TV and free WiFi.
Other Deluxe Terrace rooms have garden access, a pool view, and a seaview. The top of the Deluxe Terrace line is the Seaview Sunken Lounge Deluxe Terrace room, where you can enjoy the sunset in tropical luxury.
The resort also has two room types that are ideal for families. Their Family Fun Deluxe Terrace room is between 45-60 sqm and features a king-size bed for the parents and a large bunk bed for the kids.
It offers a larger space than the standard Deluxe Terrace room, also making it suitable for four people who want to save money but enjoy staying in a quality resort. These family rooms come with the same variety of amenities as the Deluxe Terrace rooms.
The Family Connecting Deluxe Terrace is made up of two interconnecting Deluxe Terrace rooms for larger families or groups of friends.
The resort also offers two and three-bedroom suites for families that want to give their kids more privacy. They're also suitable for couples vacationing together. These suites are between 96-113 sqm in size and offer a spacious balcony and a central living area.
The top-of-the-line accommodation at the resort is the Seaview Three Bedroom Suite with Bathtub. The tastefully-furnished suite has three bedrooms, each with a private balcony, three bathrooms and a spacious central living area with several multimedia devices included. The master bedroom also has a luxurious bathtub.
The suite offers commanding views of the beach and ocean from the balcony and is the perfect vantage point to enjoy the tropical sunsets of Phuket.
