    For kids there is one pool with a few water slides, petting zoo that comes out twice a day and kids can feed animals (at 11am and at 4pm), kids club, painting studio and ice cream cafe that does nice cold and hot drinks, and ofcs delicious ice cream.

    Staff is very friendly, caring and attentive. We always felt welcomed. Everyone here smiles!

    The hotel territory is big, green and very well taken care of. Every day you can see the staff doing something in the garden.

    Breakfast has many good options and fresh pastries. Food is always fresh, hot and timely refilled. The are never feels too crowded.

    The hotel has an on site restaurant Ciao that does international and Asian cuisine. Food here is quite good and always fresh if you need to feed little ones. We are here many times and always found something new to try.

    Rooms are spacious, bright and clean. Our room rate included access to VIP lounge by the reception area. The lounge is very cosy,has fresh fruits, cold and hot drinks, and locally made pastries. It’s opened until 8pm.

    Highly recommend to purchase Thavorn credit that can be used at any of the hotel’s restaurants (ice cream shop, Ciao pizza, pool bar etc).

    Location is excellent. Two mins walk from the beach.

    Defo recommend this place if you are travelling with kids!

  • I cannot recommend the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort at Karon Beach highly enough. We had a wonderful stay for six days. When we arrived we were greeted by the concierge Eddie, who was so friendly & helpful, we looked forward to seeing his big smile everday. 

    Easy access to the beach, with a road crossing directly outside the resort & a taxi service beachside. The huge tropical gardens are stunning, with meandering paths & intricate statues from Thai folklore. Three pools, one with a giant slide for the kids and one more private, swim up bars & plenty of sun lounges. Super cute petting zoo. 

    Fantastic buffet breakfast with a huge variety of Western & Thai food. Two restaurants & a cafe. The Wind Song restaurant was our favorite. It's in the main building, surrounded by flowering water lilly pools with frogs & a view over the pools and gardens. 

    The staff were wonderful. Big shoutout to Park & Wan, who we always had a lovely chat & laugh with. Our room was great too. Private balcony with a beautiful view. Fantastic bathroom with a huge modern shower. The cleaning staff were wonderful & unintrusive. There's an eco friendly option, where you get a quick room tidy & fridge restock & are given a 150 bhat voucher to use in the restaurants. 

    We also loved discovering that the resort was the first to be built in Phuket. So much character with all the mod cons. Thank you Thavorn for a holiday we will always remember with a smile. Lee :)

  • Great stay! Only stayed 2 nights at the end of a trip with 2 kids (aged 5 &2), but would have loved to stay longer. Beds are firm but the Family Fun Deluxe room was very spacious, witha lovely view of the gardens, pools and some beach.

    Breakfast selection was large and tasty; the multiple pools offered plenty including water slides and a swim-up bar.
    The gardens and surrounds are beautiful!

    Petting zoo that runs a couple of times/day was a fun break for the kids.

    Being across the road from the beach was fantastic, even though the beach did have some rubbish washing up but that is consistent with Kata & Kaorn beaches on this trip.

    The road between the resort offered a very short walk to food options, massges, minimarts, shopping etc. The bus to Phuket Town also runs along this road so easy to flag down.

  • We are a group of senior ladies enjoying a Phuket holiday. Thavorn Palms ticked all the boxes. We had interconnected Deluxe Terrace View rooms.The rooms were perfect for our needs. Happy hours at all the bars were great, especially the pool bar. Played good tunes , would find anything we requested. Location was awesome, close to shopping and restaurants both left and right of the resort. Easy to get transport. Wonderful relaxing stay... Karon beach in May was beautiful. Staff were fabulous. Will return again for sure.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at thavorn. Great for families with 3 pools and slides and petting zoo daily where you can feed and pet the animals. In a quiet location, great for resort style holiday. Food is great, staff are amazing, beach across the rd where they offer some activities. It was my sons bday during our stay, we came to the room to find a happy birthday greeting and cake in the fridge, it was highly appreciated. Taxi is easily accessible next to 7/11. Highly recommend staying at thavorn.

  • Visited the hotel with our 2 children aged 6 and 9. There is a fantastic calm atmosphere in the hotel and it does not seem crowded at all even though all the rooms are booked. The surroundings are beautiful with lots of trees and flowers.

    All staff are nice, smiling and helpful and greet. always when you pass by. The challenges that arise are taken care of and things are fixed immediately.

    The pool area is nice and child-friendly and is spread over a large area so there are not too many people in the same place. We have always been able to get a seat by the pool, even if we got there late. Beach and shops close by, which is nice and easy as there are exits from the hotel down towards the beach and shops.

    Can only give the warmest recommendations for this wonderful place. Sitting right now waiting for us to return to Denmark and already want to book another stay here.

    - Very good restaurants: Ciao Bistrot and Grill an authentic gem on Karon with exceptional Italian (try Pizza!) and Asian cuisines, Windsong offering very good Asian dishes
    - Convenient location across the street of Karon beach and very close to Kata beach.
    - Daily Petting zoo in the morning and in the afternoon, a must-do for both kids and adults !

    Plus: incredible NYE gala, with high quality and wide variety of food (from seafood to meat to vegetables, raw and/ or to be cooked at the moment) and live show able to easily drive the night until new year

    It’s been an incredible staying and I’m looking forward for the next holiday in Thailand… I won’t have doubts on the accommodation!

  • What an awesome stay. I was here a couple years ago and I am amazed how much has changed. The staff here are extremely attentive with their service. All of them are lively and never failed to greet us with a smile this definitely made our stay a lot more delightful. This is definitely the best resort on the island - all their restaurants and bars are amazing. They also have so many impressive swimming pools with this massive waterslide definitely a place fit for individuals of all ages! Will be back again next year.

Just right next to the resort within a couple minutes walking distance are the fabulous beaches of Phuket that makes you feel like you are in a movie. Laying in the sand while watching the sun set is quite a sight to behold. I would definitely come back to Thavorn and recommend the resort to friends and family.   • All the staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious and clean rooms with beautiful view, comfortable beds. Tasty and rich breakfast. Great (and clean) pools, not overcrowded, really close to the beach and close enough to shops and restaurants also (if you go out from the hotel to the sea side, turn left). But the biggest advantage of the hotel is the gardens – they’re marvelous! It worth to visit not only pool area but whole garden – there are some unique bonsai trees and other beautiful plants.

  • This is a fantastic resort located just on the Karon Beach of Phuket. Karon is dotted with some high end hotels and is much easy paced than Patong. It also boasts more of family crowd. I wish we stayed much more than the 3 days which we stayed last week. Top notch service and excellent rooms. The service was great and everyone in the hotel was more than eager to help without being overtly intrusive. Since we are vegetarians they went all their way to prepare special dishes for us on one of the days. A really touching gesture. The hotel boasts itself of being close to nature and we can freely find rabbits, hens on the grounds. They have 2 big tortoises, Nadia and Oscar aged 85 and 75 years. My kids were absolutely in love with them. Would surely like to come again and stay in Rooms 2203AB.

You have a nice beach really near the resort and beautiful swim-up pools.   • Stayed here is October with my boyfriend. Hotel is clean and staff are really friendly. There was a great selection at breakfast and many pools to choose from. I love the fact that the hotel has resident rabbits and tortoises it’s what makes this hotel unique. My boyfriend and I both had our birthdays whilst staying here and we were both surprised with a cupcake on our birthday. Hotel is in a great location, it’s an easy walk to the beach and the many restaurants and shops in the surrounding area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay in Karon.

  • We have just got back from a week at the Thavorn. I have been to a few hotels in Asia and they are all of the same standard. However where this hotel stands out are the attentive staff. Duty managers Eve and Kathy who went out of their way to assist us. When asked for feedback, Kathy asked us what we wanted added to the breakfast menu to which we replied “bananas,” and she went out and bought some for us out of her own money. She would not take anything from us as compensation. Thoroughly recommend.

  • So much of the hotel’s land is set aside for gardens that, despite being right by Karon Beach Road, the hotel is quiet and feels like an oasis of peace. The rooms are spacious and smart. Being one of the area’s older establishments, there are a few signs of age around the building, but these are no distraction from a fantastic hotel.

The grounds are a real credit to the Thavorn family and the gardening staff who maintain this property. I really admire the vision that Mr Thavorn had for this hotel. I would strongly recommend that you consider staying here. You won’t be disappointed. 

    Room Tip: 2304 was a good room. Higher floor of the main building the best choice.
